Jillian Lee on Colegio San Bartolomo and Museo de Memoria

Jillian Lee (Dorchester): Writing about her favorite school concert at Colegio San Bartolomo and about el Museo de Memoria, Rosario

I really liked meeting everyone at Colegio San Bartolomo. They were really friendly. They wanted to know about us and about our lives in America. We asked them questions about their school day. They have a really long school day. They go from 8 to 4. Mine is 7 to 1:40 at Boston Latin Academy.

Museo de Memoria was really hard on everyone. Nobody has the right to take away your freedom or your life. Your children are your children. They (the military Junta) separated whole families. It was a little hard to go to the museum on a day when we are already beginning to miss our own families, so Dayo and I decided to focus on the survivors. The museo is one of the things I will remember most about this trip.
